In related ecchi news, Seikon no Qwaser (both seasons) got licensed by Sentai Filmworks!

    • crafordstinson July 1, 2012 at 6:18 pm

Oh man, it’s about time! I was waiting for that and Manyuu to get licensed. I wonder who will do the voices?

      • jingoi July 1, 2012 at 6:38 pm

Bet Hilary or Shelley will voice Ekaterina.

        • framefreeze100 July 1, 2012 at 8:22 pm

At the moment it’s going to be sub-only. Though if enough fans demand or if the sub-only releases sell well (sales send a louder message), it might convince them to go back a dub it later.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if they had Manyuu Hikenchou too. :)

we know seikon get license is liek curve ball spit take of the year license indeed if sentai did later want it dub cue the WHAT?!

only matter till manyuu get license.

as for muv-luv too early too give bit more eps to convince my list.

Hell yes!!! It’s been a long time coming! I was hoping they’d pick it up.. though I also thought Digital Manga would too, since they’re bringing over the Asa Made Jugyou Chu manga, but they also do anime so hopefully they’d do Asa Made Jugyou Chu’s OVAs and other anime like it as well. Anime/Manga publishing looks like it’s really improving every little while…

      too http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-04-03/digital-manga-licenses-see-me-after-class-president-momoi-kun

yay, no more relying on just Funimation or Media Blastes. :)

like crafordstinson said, I hope Manyuu is next!!

People should be aware there is gore too and the original material of this is hentai in nature.

The real issue with watching visual novels turned anime is that they’re generally poorly done, especially the ones in recent years. Also, this show just screams tentacle abuse XD (probably was tentacle raep in the original game).

      • Zoner July 2, 2012 at 2:15 pm

Well Spy Books, Sometimes i wonder who was the first person who even started the tentacle thing anyway? Plus your right that some of the visual novels turned anime, are sometimes poorly done, there are times its okay but no, they cut a few things down to differ from the manga. I did comparisons sometimes when i have time off from work.

        • Spy Books July 2, 2012 at 7:51 pm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tentacle_erotica it started in the early 1800′s XD

          • lion July 4, 2012 at 8:45 am

why is there a wiki page about this?

          • Spy Books July 4, 2012 at 5:18 pm

XD you’d be surprised at what has a wiki page.

          • lion July 5, 2012 at 8:58 am

Wait there are more of these things

  4. Spy Books July 2, 2012 at 7:52 pm

According to that article the first instance was in 1986

    • Spy Books July 2, 2012 at 7:52 pm

First anime appearance. And I forgot to have that as a reply sorry lol.

      • Zoner July 3, 2012 at 1:33 am

Well the one Im looking for is who was the name of the guy who made the first H anime using tentacles as the main bases of the story.

        • Spy Books July 3, 2012 at 11:29 am

          Oh…idk.

          • gulab July 3, 2012 at 2:27 pm

Probably whoever made the infamous Urotsukidoji (Legend of the Overfiend)

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urotsukid%C5%8Dji

I only really like tenticles in the comical sense, like how it’s spoofed in ecchi anime like QB. Just reading about Urotsukidoji scarred me for life, lol.

I’ve found out more about Muv Luv and apperntly it’s being made into an anime because it had a good story. It’s not the first time an H story has been deemed good enough to be toned down for a larger audience. Still, if it’s gonna be too gory and crap then it’s not worth this little amount of ecchi for me (or even if there was more), even if the story is good… the only exception I’ve ever made here is with Highschool of the Dead.

Why it’s so great if Seikon is licencied ? We can expect a third season ?

    • gulab July 3, 2012 at 5:45 pm

Probably not but it couldnt hurt it’s chances. I like it when anime get licensed because:

      1. it gives fans of the anime a chance to actually support it with sales (maybe if it sells well enough here it can help send the creators a message that there is enough people who want to see more like it)
      2. it can get professionally dubbed
      3. i like to physically own BD/DVDs of shows and movies I like, and I prefer them to be in a language I can understand (either subtitled and/or dubbed)
      4. if the manga isnt licensed yet it could help chances of that too
