Maken-ki bookends what appears to be a somewhat lackluster month. High School DxD gets a DVD special in the middle, and Holy Knight will hopefully be a very ecchi OVA; the manga is almost hentai. Tweet

February 2012 Japanese BD/DVD releases

February looks pretty solid. The highlights for me are ItsuTen volume 6 and Mayo Chiki volume 6, with their (hopefully) uncensored episode 12′s, a new Ikkitousen OVA, the Sora no Otoshimono movie, and BokuTomo volume 2, which should be the first one in the series to have ecchi changes. Tweet

A new Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai PV for the blu-ray release which focuses on the ecchi portions of the show suggests that big changes are coming. The PV can’t be viewed in all countries, but I have included a collage of screens from it below. Tweet

Kore wa Zombie desu ka vol. 2 preview

I think all ecchi fans of Kore wa Zombie desu ka are disappointed at the fact that it doesn’t look like the censored scenes will be uncensored on DVD and BD, but all is not lost. There’s a short (2 page) manga in the booklet that comes with volume 2… and there be nipples! Topless [...]

Fractale wasn’t really an ecchi show, but it had some ecchi scenes. Well, it’s bombing. Hard. Didn’t even sell 1000 BD copies. Also, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, but Infinite Stratos is on the chart again this week. Tweet

Oniichan no Koto vol. 2 was really the only new ecchi release this week, and it did so-so. Infinite Stratos is still adding to its impressive total, and several other ecchi titles made the chart for a second week. Tweet
